As I have a trip planned to this part of Australia later on in the year, I am delighted to be able to talk about the magnificent city that is Perth. Apparently, Perth is one of the most isolated cities in the entire world, with the nearest large city being located thousands of miles away. This does not seem to hold the people of Perth back, however, as this city still manages to exude vibrancy and a very cosmopolitan air.
Accommodation in the city is of a particularly high standard, hotels in Perth do cater for all budgets. Accommodations range from the modest but very comfortable two and three star, right up to more luxurious five star hotels.
The weather in Perth is well known as being as close to perfection as you could ever find. As this is the Southern Hemisphere, trade winds tend to deposit most of the rain in Australia on the East Coast, so Perth is generally drier. Sunshine hours are also a lot higher as a consequence.
The beaches of Western Australia are an absolute delight and visitors can always indulge in a number of watersports, with surfing being a very popular choice. Perth is not as cheap as it was even ten years ago, so you really should not expect massive bargains if you are a shopaholic.
All-in-all, Perth is an amazing Australian city and definitely worth a visit, if you ever get the chance. It is often a good idea to enjoy a multi-centre holiday in Australia, taking in the delights of both main coasts along the way.
