There are few places in the world which can match the wealth of historical and archaeological places of interest to be found in the Italian capital city of Rome. Within a relatively small area, the city boasts a generous number of historically and artistically interesting features and buildings, such as the Parthenon, Coliseum, Tivoli Fountain and the confusingly titled Spanish Steps. Many of these and other sites have been designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, of which Rome has more than its fair share.
Due to these many attractions, it is hardly surprising that the city draws thousands of tourists every year. Included within these visitors are the large number of religious pilgrims, attracted by the Vatican and all it stands for.
To cater for this steady influx of travellers there are a large number of hotels, as well as apartments for self catering visitors. There are a great choice of Rome apartments available to suit every taste and budget.
Of course, as with anything in life, your choice of apartment will always be governed by how much you can afford and the location you chose.
For those on a more generous budget, perhaps a spacious penthouse apartment affording views of the Vatican or the Tiber River would be a luxurious ideal. Alternatively, those on a tighter budget may find a suitably more affordable apartment or hotel on the outskirts of the city.
